During winter you must keep your worm clothing’s while on top as the temperature is cool, afternoons are a better time to visit.

Go to washroom before climbing up because there is no washroom. Take your food along with you to spend more time on top of the mountain. After the fence you can climb by foot but it is risky and not allowed. The beauty of Al Ain city is enjoyed best from the top at night.

Jebel Hafeet or ‘Mountain’ Hafeet is in Al Ain. Located south of the Al Ain city close to Oman, It is around 1250m high and the drive up the rocky mountain on its winding roads is certainly worth a trip. There are several parking lots along the way which provide wonderful viewing opportunities.

Best picnic spot in Hatta farm house

It is located behind old mosque closed to heritage village. Hatta located relatively high in the Hajar Mountains near Oman. it lies to the south-east of Dubai's main territory. Since the early 1980s, Hatta has been a popular destination for adventuring expatriates and local families alike 'wadi bashing'. It has a popular Heritage Village. Hatta is a picturesque 115 km drive east of Dubai City.

The old village of Hatta includes two prominent military towers from the 18th century. This picnic spot located just left side of watch tower and heritage village.

How to reach Hatta - Crossing the border was denied, despite of having valid passports and UAE id's. to access but only if you take the direct route number 5. You can take the Shwaka , Sharjah kalba road and then access it through the mountain valley but that would take you a hour more. It is a new road through mountains.

Great spot for a picnic! Park by the top and go down with a picnic basket in the late afternoon for the sunset. Peaceful and beautiful! Small canal full of water for irrigation. You will find small fishes around the ponds.

The mountains suddenly raise from the desert - immediately after Khatham if you are going from Dubai. Since it was December, the weather was wonderful and we enjoy the crisp mountain breeze

Views from Hatta dam at the top is simply amazing. Must see if you are nature lover.

Amazing Musandam, Khasab

Amazing Musandam, Khasab

Musandam is one of the most beautiful coastlines of Oman located between the mainland Oman and United Arab Emirates. It is a peninsula with Sea of Oman and Strait of Oman almost around it. Musandam is amazing as it has some of the most diversified geographies include limestone mountain range of Hajar.

 fishing in traditional style
good Arabic majlish type sitting arrangement on board

Khasab is the capital of Musandam and is very green as lot of farming takes place. It is also the largest town but nothing bigger than an ordinary town. Actually life lives on the mountains closest to the sea. Both mountain and sea cradle the civilization in Musandam like nowhere else.
You have to have Oman visa to enter musandam from Ras Al khaimah border. Driving through mountain will take 2 and half hours and 189 km from Dubai. We have been there in 2009 in a group of 20 people. Reached at the border at 7 a.m. after getting on arrival visa which took 1 hour we have reached Khasab around at 9 a.m. Hired our own wooden boat for our group. it was very big open and has nice Arabic sitting arrangement all around. small washroom at the back was very comfortable for all.
We have seen dolphin swimming with our boat most of the riding time. food was dropped in our boat at 2 p.m. boat was anchored twice for swimming and snorkeling. Food was very nice and all time tea and coffee arrangement was on board. Fruit basket and snacks was available all times. It was cost 85 dirhams per person at that time including 6 hours ride and food.
